How to participate in a crowdfunding campaign?

Good to know: You do not necessarily need an account to make a donation. You can contribute freely and even choose to do so anonymously.
1 Access the campaign
There are two simple ways to get to a campaign page:
- Via a shared link (Social Media, WhatsApp, etc.): Simply click on the link you received (e.g., https://crowdfunding.faroty.com/en/campaigns/...). You will be redirected directly to the project page.
- Via the Faroty website: Go to the Faroty homepage, click on the Explore (or Browse campaigns) tab, look for the project that interests you, and click on its card to open it.
2 Discover the project and Initiate the donation
Once on the campaign page, take the time to read the story, watch the video or images, and check the financial goal.
- To participate, locate the main button usually titled "Support", "Contribute", or "Donate".
- If the organizer has set up Reward Tiers (e.g., "Receive a T-shirt for 5000 FCFA"), you can also click directly on the tier of your choice.
3 Fill in the contribution information
A window or form will open to configure your participation:
- Amount: Enter the sum you wish to donate (respecting the minimum amount if there is one).
- Personal information: Fill in your first name, last name, and phone number or email address.
- Anonymous donation: If you do not want your name to appear publicly on the campaign page, check the box "Make my donation anonymous" (or equivalent).
- Message of support: Leave a short message of encouragement to the organizer (optional but highly appreciated!).
4 Make the payment
Faroty offers secure and suitable payment methods:
- Click on Continue or Pay.
- Choose your payment method: Mobile Money (MTN, Orange, etc.) or Credit Card (Visa, Mastercard).
- If you use Mobile Money, follow the instructions on your phone to validate the transaction (entering your PIN code).
5 Confirmation and Sharing
Congratulations, your participation is validated!
- A success message will appear on the screen, and you may receive a receipt via SMS or email.
- Help the campaign go further: Use the share buttons displayed on the screen to send the campaign link to your loved ones on WhatsApp, Facebook, or Twitter. That is the very essence of crowdfunding!
